Diaries of A Bargainista: Neon and Cheetah

Dress Old Navy: $20 // Scarf H&M: #12.99 // Belt Ross: $1.99 // Shoes Audrey Brooke: $19.99 // Clutch Target: $8.99 // Accessories: Gifted Fossil, TJ Maxx
Spring has sprung in TX and I am completely ready for all the warmer weather and Vitamin D.  As you can see I got a little too much Vitamin D and have a mini sunburn on my arms and chest!

This dress is so comfy, I just bought it this weekend and I'm dying to buy even more Maxi's.  I consider Maxi's the acceptable way to wear pajamas in public.  Nothing is more comfortable that this!!

What did you wear this week?  Has spring shown its bright and shiny face in your state??
Now it's time for you ladies to link up your outfit of the week!

The Beautiful Life of A Blogger

We all do our blogging poses, put on make-up, way too much jewelry and pretend like our life is the SHIZNIT! Let's be real ladies... We don't ALWAYS look this pretty, nor is our shit always together.  I mean it's fun to pretend like it is in blogland, but today I wanna get real with you BISCHES!

Say What!?!? Bloggers aren't pretty and perfect all the time?  Mostly I'm lookin like this:

My teeth suck - I've had 8 cavities filled in the last 2 months and I just got a crown.EFF!

Every night when I get home I throw on a pair of sweats and furry boots.  Usually when I'm at home I look like AssTrash (my new saying), not like this or this...

Lookin like AssTrash, AGAIN (can you guys please help me make this work happen, k thanks!) while decorating cookies...

Another good example of Ass Trash - dressing in the most disgusting clothes from Ross and taking pics in the dressing room with your BFF.

Just realized almost all these pics are blurry.  Oh well, I guess it's just a good example of what I'm trying to get across.  Bloggers AREN'T perfect like we pretend to be on the Interwebz...

Seriously though, is your life as cute as your blog?  Clearly mine isn't...

Diaries of a Bargainista CHP. 4 { An Outfit Under $50}

For all of my current readers, you've probably been reading the series I've been doing about Diaries of a Bargainista.  If you're new - WELCOME! You can catch up on Chapter 1, 2 & 3.

I asked one of my blogger friends to put together an outfit for under $50 - she thankfully said yes and already had an outfit in mind. I absolutely love her bracelet and mixing the polka dotted shoes with a striped dress is so cute - I like to refer to the style as "PolkaStripes"

With that, let me introduce Lindsay from A Little Bit of Life - she is so adorable and I know you will all LOVE her blog!

Dress - Ross $12.99, Shoes - Charlotte Russe - $22 Bracelet - gifted from Montana @ http://saramontanasays.blogspot.com/ Watch - gifted from my mother-in-law Earrings - $12.50 bought at a kiosk in Vegas.

OUTFIT TOTAL: $47.49

Can you believe that Ross makes the same pattern dress in 2 different styles???? Remember last week when I showed you this, yep exact same pattern!

I'm now looking for my next Bargainista!! If you would like to put together an outfit for me under $50 just send me an email at allthingsalisamarie@gmail.com!

Lindsay thanks again for participating, I adore the outfit you put together!

Diaries of a Bargainista {Chapter 1}

The title of this post explains it all. These are going to be my diaries of all the great bargains that I find.

I decided to go to the mall on Saturday, wait - THE MALL? This is not a place that I frequent that often, but I wanted to check out the Nordstrom Anniversay Sale.  After cruising through Nordstrom and realizing I didn't want to pay $199 for something on sale from $500, I wandered out into the mall. You see, I don't really like to pay more than $20 for one single item {shoes are the exception, I don't have a choice}.

As I was aimlessly meandering my way through the mall crowds I spotted a sale at Ann Taylor Loft.  This also is not a place that I shop at that often, but the sale signs lured me in. If you consider yourself a Bargainista, then you skip over all of the full price clothes in the front of the store and go straight to the Sale Rack.  Don't even bother looking at the Full Price clothes, they'll all be on sale next week.

Immediately I spotted colored denim crops which I've been wanting for a LONG TIME {I know, I'm really behind on this trend}... Found some in my size along with several other items, see below:

Yellow = Money Spent
Red = Money Saved

My goal when shopping for bargains is to Save more than I spent, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! You will notice I bought 2 black tank tops, I decided since they were so cheap I would get two new ones, I practically wear one everyday!

TIP #1 to becoming a Bargainista:  pair new items with items you already have in your closet

 New Shorts - Ann Taylor Loft $14.99 // Blue and White Striped Shirt - Ross $7.99 // White Blazer - Marshalls $19.99  = Total Outfit cost {minus shoes, they are old from DSW} $42.97

More to come on how I styled the rest of these bargain pieces.

What do you think of this bargain outfit?

PS - who is excited for the Bachelorette Season Finale Tonight? I'll be writing my review tomorrow :)
