Time For A "Belfie"

Tank Top - Target $12, Mom Shorts Old Navy $10
We all do it from time and time again ALL THE TIME, or when you have a baby and zero time for actual outfit posts, you sneak in a Belfie.

Belfie??? What the efff are you talking about Alisa? Let me explain, it's A Bathroom Selfie...

Lemme give you a few tips for the perfect Belfie -
  • Make sure your cabinets are somewhat cleaned off, or try and crop all the crap outta the pic (like I did)
  • Do not and I repeat do not show a toilet in the background, especially an unflushed toilet!!
  • Don't show overflowing bathroom trash - gross!!
  • Pose like you're in "da club" not like you're in "ba bafroom" ie. wear sunglasses inside
Follow all these tips and you should be able to take belfie's as good as as bad as me!!

Now, let's poke fun at myself and hashtag the crap outta this picture - #imnotwearingmakeupsoiputonsunglasses #ilookwayskinnierthaniam #sideponyisso2014 #haventwashedmyhairindays #jerseyshorinitupwithindoorglasses
Any hashtags I'm missing??

When was your last Belfie?? Don't lie, you probably took one today too!

Spring has sprung in TX and I am completely ready for all the warmer weather and Vitamin D.  As you can see I got a little too much Vitamin D and have a mini sunburn on my arms and chest!

This dress is so comfy, I just bought it this weekend and I'm dying to buy even more Maxi's.  I consider Maxi's the acceptable way to wear pajamas in public.  Nothing is more comfortable that this!!

What did you wear this week?  Has spring shown its bright and shiny face in your state??
Now it's time for you ladies to link up your outfit of the week!

The Power of Distraction In a Pink Dress

Dress $20 Old Navy // Belt Ross $1 // Clutch TJ Maxx $7.99 // Scarf Charming Charlie $5 // Shoes Ross $18.99
Do you ever get in a situation where you don't know the answer to a question or don't want to answer a question??

This is where the power of distraction comes in handy...

In the middle of being asked a question immediately interrupt and give the person a compliment. This can range from a multitude of complimentary selections below-
I live your shirt, where is you get it?
Have you lost weight you look really slim today
Did you get your haircut? It looks really good
Are those new earrings? I really like them
I love your necklace, is it new?

The key to achieving maximum distraction is to give a compliment and follow it up with a question.  This will engage the question asker more and distract them from the question they were actually answering....

The goal is to engage the person long enough that they leave your desk wondering why they stopped by....

OR you can just stand up and start spinning around in your pink dress, this will distract ANYONE and EVERYONE! GUARANTEED! {If you're at work, just make sure your dress doesn't come up too high and show the goods}.....

Have you used the Power of Distraction before?

Diaries of A Bargainista: The Vest

Vest: Old Navy {Free from a Friend} // Sweater H&M $14.95 // Undershirt {Old} // Jeggings: Target $19.99 // Boots: Marshalls $49.99 // Necklace Very Jane $9.99

I don't know what's a better bargain than Free! Best Bargain I've found so far!  Haha, don't worry I didn't steal it, it was willingly given to me by my friend!

Okay, I want to get real here for a second.  Wait Alisa, what does that mean? Get Real?? Here we go...

Has anyone ever noticed how fake Bloggers are?

OMG - you look totally cute!

Your blog is great following you - follow me back?

Seriously loving your blog.

Wow, you have great style

I love that shirt

Your hair is so pretty

You look fantastic

I want your boobs {okay not really, but maybe}

Seriously, do you ever see something when you're blogging and you're like "Eww, gross that coat is FUGLY".  Do you tell the blogger her outfit is terrible and be a a little byotch of just write something real Generic like "OMG Lurve, where did you get it?" then behind her back totally be like "That's the fugliest thing I've ever seen in my life" Mean Girls quote if you didn't recognize it...

Have you ever once tried to post the ugliest outfit or weirdest thing on your blog just to see the fake comments you will get?  Okay, I haven't done this yet, but I'm seriously considering it.

Kinda like Prank the Blogosphere?  Seriously, who's in on this?  Do you want to prank the blogosphere with me?

Oh and if I get comments today that my outfit is FUGLY, I will delete them, so keep being FAKE Bloggie Kitties!  Cuz I lurve it!

Diaries of A Bargainista Link-Up

First off, I got my first blog sponsor last week and I am so excited to be working with her, we have an insane amount of things in common!  Check out Venus over at Venus Trapped in Mars and show her some blog love!! Check out my sponsor tab to get in on the action too!!

Scarf: Old Navy {Old} $8 // Top: Francesca's Clearance last spring $15 // Pants: Marshalls $15 // Shoes: Target $14.98 // Bracelet: Gifted

I was trying way too hard to look cute this week! Sorry about my stupid smiles and ass trash hair!!! I seriously need to gets my hair did!!!

Moving on.... I want to talk to you guys about something really awkward that happens quite frequently and I'm wondering if you guys experience this same awkwardness...

We have an extra long hallway, one side is the executives and one side is my department.

What in the heck do you do when someone is all the way at the other end and you are both walking towards each other?

Do you...
Look down at your feet or look them straight in the eye?
Say hi/hey/ hey there/hello??
Both say hi how are you at the exact same time and you both keep walking?
Cut across the hallway and pretend like you're going somewhere else?

Normally I either look down at my feet and pretend like the other person doesn't exist or I cut across the hallway to the bathroom.  It's just such a strange experience that I want to avoid at all costs!!!

Any other recommendations on how I can avoid this situation??

Diaries Of A Bargainista Link-Up: One Dress Two Ways

My bargain this week is my $5 dress that I also wore last week. I decided to restyle it this week so you can see how versatile a simple black dress can be.  I can probably come up with about 100 other ways to style this dress, but LesbeeeHonest, I'm not gonna go to that amount of work..

I also consider my $15 necklace from Target a bargain as well because it was 1/2 off after Christmas.  No way would I ever spend $30 for a necklace! Not this cheap BiSCH!!  $15 was even asking a lot for me... Literally, I mean it was three times the cost of my dress, haha!

Outfit This Week:
Dress: Old Navy $6
Sweater: Gifted from my dad last year
Necklace: Target $15 (1/2 Off)
Tights: Marshalls $3
Boots: Marshalls $49.99
Bracelet and Watch: Fossil/TJ Maxx Gifted
Earrings: Francesca's $6

Now it's time for you to link-up! I can't wait to see all of the outfits you ladies come up with this week!

Diaries of A Bargainista Link-Up

The link-up is back after being on a one week hiatus.  I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and are ready to get back into the daily grind..  This is my first day back at work after 8 solid days of sleeping until noon and watching movies all day.  I think I'm in a minor state of depression, but I'll bounce-back.. Reality can be one tough pill to swallow!

Today I'm featuring my bargainista-self! This dress came from Old Navy for $7.99!  I swear these pictures aren't old even though there are orange leaves in the background, this was actually Christmas Eve!

Scarf: Marshalls $10.99 // Dress: Old Navy $7.99 // Boots: Marshalls $49.99

The best part about this dress is not that it was cheap as dirt, but also that I can wear it with heels to work!

I'm linking up with Shanna and The Pleated Poppy - take a minute to check out their pages and link-up too!

Now it's time for you to link-up your outfits!
