That's right folks, I'm a meat eatin girl! I've made this meaty treat a few times and everyone has loved them! If you're lookin for a last minute recipe to make for your man this evening, this is the one!!
If you missed my Valentine's Cookies the other day check them out here.
I introduce to you..
Maple Glazed Smokies Wrapped in Bacon
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Li'l Smokies
- 12 ounces, weight Center-cut Bacon
- FOR THE GLAZE:
- ⅓ cups Brown Sugar
- ¼ cups Maple Syrup (the Real Stuff)
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- A Small Pinch Of Cayenne (optional)
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Pour smokies onto a paper towel and blot dry. This will help the bacon adhere to the smokies.
Cut the bacon into thirds. and wrap around smokies.
Place on a single layer in a 9X13 Pan
Mix the ingredients for the glaze in a bowl and pour over smokies.
Bake in oven on 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until they ar lightly brown on top.
Recipe From: Tasty Kitchen (This recipe directs you to put smokies and bacon into freezer before, but I didn't do that and they still turned out fine)
Check back next Thursday for a HUGE Project I've been working on. Can't wait to share it with you!
Are you making anything special for your man tonight?
