I got super-inspired by Pinterest this weekend and did a bunch of Fall projects, I'm actually pretty impressed by myself! I did more crafts this weekend than I have in the past year. Feast your eyes on my new decorations!
1. Tablecloth Wreath
Inspiration and directions here: http://www.highheelsandahammer.com/2011/09/fall-wreath/ I actually bought an 18" wire wreath instead of 12".
- Wire wreath Frame: $3
- 2 Plastic Tablecloths: $3 Each
- Ribbon: $4 / $2 Each
Total Cost: $10
2. Glitter Pumpkins
Buy cheap plastic pumpkins and cover in glitter
- Bag of pumpkins from Michaels $4.99
- Glitter from Walmart (Gold and Silver) $2.49 each
- Mod Podge (already own some so Free)
Total Cost: $7.50
3. Rice Krispy Treat Pumpkins
Not sure total cost on this, but pretty cheap.
Follow instructions on Rice Krispies box to make. Melt butter then add in marshmallows. Once completely melted add in orange food coloring and stir in rice krispies. Let cool for a couple minutes, not too long or they will harden.
Use a generous amount of butter on your hands to roll the pumpkins. I used the other half of my stick of butter and covered my hands in the butter so the rice krispies didn't stick.
Cut tootsie rolls in half and stick in the top of the pumpkin. Dye frosting green and put a leaf on each. I used my piping tips, but you could just use a ziploc bag and cut a hole in the corner, would work just as good!
4. Pumpkins in a Cake Stand
- Pumpkins from Michaels $5, I painted a few of them from above
- Harvest garland: Hobby Lobby $2
- Cake Stand: Free already had it
Total Cost: $7
More projects coming soon - can't wait to share them with you ladies! What do you think about these projects?? Have you done any fall projects?
