This is where the power of distraction comes in handy...
In the middle of being asked a question immediately interrupt and give the person a compliment. This can range from a multitude of complimentary selections below-
I live your shirt, where is you get it?
Have you lost weight you look really slim today
Did you get your haircut? It looks really good
Are those new earrings? I really like them
I love your necklace, is it new?
The key to achieving maximum distraction is to give a compliment and follow it up with a question. This will engage the question asker more and distract them from the question they were actually answering....
The goal is to engage the person long enough that they leave your desk wondering why they stopped by....
OR you can just stand up and start spinning around in your pink dress, this will distract ANYONE and EVERYONE! GUARANTEED! {If you're at work, just make sure your dress doesn't come up too high and show the goods}.....
